Tallinn, Estonia (Estonian Winner 2012)

The plan was to be one day in Tallinn, leave at 8am with ferry from Helsinki and return at 10pm in the evening. Our show ring was calculated to start at 13:13 so we thought we had lots of time to get to the show ground. Our one day in Tallinn ended up to be more stressful than I and my friend Salla could have thought. Because of the bad weather our morning ferry was cancelled and we were transferred to a ferry leaving at 10am. One hour later that ferry was also cancelled which ended up in a situation where we had to book the ticket from and other company. We arrived 12.45 to Tallinn with the ferry, which also was late. We had so much luck with us, the 4 petits made it to the ring. With wonderful results!!

One week in Austria and Germany, World Winner Show 2012
Two petits, 4 havaneses and 4 people flew to Munich on thursday 17.5. We rented a car and drove to Ruhpolding where we had rented a house. Friday and monday we spent in Salzburg and saturday and sunday was show days. Tuesday we visited Munich before returning home. Super trip in super company! Thank you :)

Nürnberg INT show 14.-15.1.2012

Now when I am staying in Germany me and Terhi thought it could be fun to see german dog shows. So Terhi booked flights for her and two dogs silkyterrier Pop (Curiosity Chic Choix Pop) and petit basset griffon vendeen Tate (Mirepoix´s La Vraie Affair). Tate is bred by Jan Zigich in the US and will be staying in Finland at kennel Nightdream for a while. The gang arrived to Munich 11th of january. We spend couple of days exploring the city with and without the dogs. On friday we headed to Nürnberg.

Saturday morning started with Australian silkyterriers were Pop (Curiosity Chic Choix Pop) was entered. Pop got german CAC a CACIB and was BOS.

In the afternoon it was time for PBGVs. Tate won Best of Breed with CAC and CACIB under Gisa Schicker from Germany. Later he won the group under Dr. Peter Beyerdorf, DE. In Germany the days group winners compete of that days Best In Show. Only one is placed and this BIS winner competes agains the sunday Best in Show winner. The super Best in Show (BIS of the whole show) is decided on sunday. Groups competing of saturday BIS were 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. Tate ended the day by winninh saturday BEST IN SHOW!! Saturday final was judged by Jochen H. Eberhard, DE. Next day Tate was reserve Best in Show under Walter Schicker, DE. Over 3000 dogs were entered!

Good to be back in Finland for a week. Madde was super excited to open her presents and helped also to open big sister Pamis presents.

Ricky is doing well in Finland

Ricky the man won CC, Best of Breed and Best in Group 4 in Seinäjoki under Paula Sunebring, Sweden. Group judge was Per-Harald Nymark from Norway. His grandmum Täplä was BOB-veteran and BOS!

I am spending 6 months in Germany on an exchange study. It is super that Ricky is still shown in Finland by Sirpa!! Mum is so proud of her little boy!
